A.Belle's 24 Best Fall Books for Toddler's
Reading is insanely important for a toddler; it increases language skills, bonds you with baby, makes them (literally) smarter, and is one of the best things you can do with your little one. If you want to read some of my research on why you should read with your toddler, start here. Heck, we started reading to Addie 3.5 months before her due date and you can watch the video proof here.
There are so many incredible things going on during the fall. The weather is changing, the world around us is shifting and preparing for the colder weather, new fruits and vegetables are showing up, and the animals around us are changing their behavior. What better way is there to help your toddler make sense of all these changes than by reading books. Like I mentioned above, we have a closet filled with just Addie's books, and each new season or month I rotate all of her books to fit the season, holiday, weather, or whatever is going on. The kindergarten teacher in me is still very alive. On each level of the house Addie has curated books that are either meaningful to her or what is happening around her.
Our Best Fall Books by A.Belle contains so many concepts that are important for your growing and crazy toddler! You can talk to them about the colors of fall, teach them fall vocabulary (pumpkins, leaves, scarecrow, apples, etc.), explain changes in weather, etc. I tried to pick a wide variety of books that include these concepts but also books that will last in your library for the next few years. For example. Picking Apples and Pumpkins may include concepts that are too complex for your two year old now, but includes many photographs that can be used in conjunction with your own words to simplify the concepts and teach them. As they grow, this book will make more and more sense to them. I don't like to buy books that will only last for this year, but that will grow with them through the years.
I made it easy for you and linked each book to Amazon - all you need to do is click on the book to purchase and some of these books are less than $5 (e.g. Fall) with free shipping if you are a prime member.
We recently became an amazon affiliate which means for each book purchased through our site we earn a nominal percentage. That affiliate account is linked directly to Addie's Boston savings account so we can afford to fly, pay for accommodations, and other expenses for her medical treatment. All of the opinions here are my own and this is not a sponsored post, I just prefer to be transparent.
I'll try to continually make these book lists since one of the most frequently asked questions I get via DM on Instagram is to either send them the link to the book we are reading or to recommend a good book for numbers, fall, etc. You may also be interested in A.Belle's Best Board Books for Babies and the YouTube playlist I made that has most of the books recommended being read aloud.
